Don Jr. described Trump as “in great spirits” and blamed the “radical left.”
J.D. Vance, a possible Trump running mate, blamed President Biden:
"The central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs. That rhetoric led directly to President Trump's attempted assassination."
Marjorie Taylor Green:
”Democrats wanted this to happen. They’ve wanted Trump gone for years and they’re prepared to do anything to make that happen."
Matt Gaetz posted the image of Trump pumping his fist.

And in the mainstream media “both sides” are being called on to “tamp down” the rhetoric. They include, as an example, the Democrats’ warnings about how electing Trump will bring an end to Democracy. This is not “rhetoric.” Trump himself has said himself that he plans to be a dictator on day one. And in one day he can certainly do away with key democratic agencies, institutions and guardrails. This isn’t a “both sides” issue.
And by the way, here’s what Trump had to say after Paul Pelosi was almost killed:
Now will MAGA lawmakers finally work with Dems to ban assault weapons? And will Trump finally stop inciting political violence? One of their own has been killed, and another two grievously wounded. Do they not care?
