THANK YOU!!
And a big welcome to all new subscribers! Plus news of what’s to come on BordoLines
Your support for this new venture of mine is what keeps me at it from week to week, putting everything I have into each post. Because I want BordoLines to be informed by all the “lines” that intersect in my thinking and writing—culture, politics, philosophy, literature, personal experience, and a dedication to writing honestly and clearly—I spend a lot of time on this newsletter. There are days when, after working non-stop on a piece, I’ve literally had to recover by spending all day in bed with my doggies. But your support—both from those who got on from the beginning, and those who joined recently—makes it worthwhile.
If you subscribed recently, I hope you’ll check out past posts. I’ve been doing them since late January, and they cover a lot of different topics, so I’ve grouped them under different subsections (among which there is considerable overlap, however, so in addition to checking out your particular interests, please do browse!)
Coming this week and next:
My personal—visceral, historical, literary—take on last night’s chilling episode of “Succession.” Including a breakdown of all the main characters. (You’ll find my weekly commentary under “TV Watch” if you want to check out past posts.)
Special posts in commemoration of the anniversary of Anne Boleyn’s execution. I interviewed some fantastic people for my 2013 book, including Genevieve Bujold, Natalie Dormer, Michael Hirst, and Hillary Mantel, so there’s going to be some great reads, even if you’re not a Tudorphile.
