This is a quick response after spending some hours I'll never retrieve watching Beachfront Property episodes (but it was sort of fun!) Anyway, just to say -- you're wondering if you should continue your type of reporting and analysis, and I say, damn yes! There is no one else that I come upon who is questioning how strange and distorting the media has become since T*mp's ascension and Hilary's takedown. You have a way of getting right to the heart of how passive-aggressive and useless their approaches can be. I have similar reactions but I wouldn't be able to articulate it as gracefully and thoroughly as you do in your stacks and posts. I hope you won't ever stop! We are living a series of "gotcha!" moments, over and over, as if they are the only thing our restless attentions can endure. It's not true! We can handle more. We are not zombies. We see through you, media. We just don't know what to do about it.

Thank you for posting the pictures of all the candidates who did interviews with the VPs. Shame on the MSM and everyone else who had meltdowns over that fact that Walz was there.

That was what I noticed when Harris and Walz were barnstorming before the DNC. Harris went up to the pool of reporters and said "What you got?"

And none of them were prepared.

All this GD whining and none of them had solid questions ready?

These are not serious people.

Prior to the interview with Dan bash, she was being criticized for “not holding any press conferences and answering only 15 questions from the press.” Presumably, ones the press yelled at her at various events that she stopped to answer.

The thing is, if you checked on those questions she was asked, they’re inane or gotchas similar to all the ones Bash asked during the sitdown interview. The corporate press complains if she doesn’t answer their questions but the questions they ask her aren’t worth answering.

What a shame the press can only see an interview in terms of catching the interviewee out, making them look bad, confused or inconsistent, rather than using their skill to bring out the essence of the person before them. Made Dana Bash look inexperienced and petty. Sumter Carmichael

Lawrence should have an hour with Kamala. It would be an amazing interview, substantive, thoughtful, insightful. And if Tim wants to come along for part of it (or have his own segment aired another night) that would be great. Thank you for another superb essay.

Dear lovely commenters: All I can manage right now are hearts for you, and great thanks for reading and commenting. Just heard about the deaths of six hostages, among them Hersh Goldberg-Polin, whose parents spoke so beautifully at the DNC. Promise to get to individual responses later!

Oh, I too would love to hear Lawrence O’Donnell interview Harris!

Still waiting for the Trump gotcha interview. There's much more material there than there was for Harris / Walz.
