All these professionals need to simply come clean about what they did. People frequently ask what's Comey doing. My guess is he's investing the fortune he made on his lying book, a fortune insured by the NYT's valentine of a review and their repeatedly inviting him to write more for the Times.
The first I remember hearing about Comey was the discomfort he caused a new class of FBI grads when he warned them not to "fall in love with my own rectitude," as he had. Reportedly creeped them out. They resented him talking about himself instead of them on their graduation day.
I propose "In Love With My Own Rectitude" as the title of his next book, in which he fully tells what he did to help the media put Trump in the Oval Office.
Thanks for putting this out there now. good timing especially with the recent attack on FBI trump Russia affair, perhaps another example of perhaps a similar issue. oh well. the beat goes on. and on and on
Oh, Susan, you made me cry, you made me cheer, you made me remember those terrible times. You did it with such clarity and diligence, I'm feeling it all over again, and I'm sad and furious and emboldened again. Enough!
I'd forgotten so much of this, even though I was writing about it at Ramona's Voices, as well. I'd forgotten, if I ever knew, that Michael Schmidt played a role in those mindless attacks against Hillary. I'll never look at him the same again.
And, of course, James Comey, though he was the icing on a cake that had been baked long before he did what he did.
What bothers me most today is how reluctant those complicit members of the MSM still are to admit they had a huge hand in getting Trump elected. They did it by demonizing Hillary, for no apparent reason other than that she was Hillary, she was a Clinton, she was a woman, and the Republicans and the Left hated her. They sealed her fate, along with the country's.
I'll never forgive any of them.
Thanks for bringing it all to light again. I'll be sharing this.
Have you read my book about the election? Not that I want to torture you further with bad memories, but if you haven’t, I’d be delighted to have amazon send you a copy. And I’ll send a signed bookplate if you like (I have no actual spare copies around here) Just email me your address.
I will always be grateful to you for writing the whole story about the 2016 election. The Destruction of Hillary Clinton is the only book I read that accurately described what I'd seen & heard from the media during that campaign. It was infuriating while it happened & reading about it again feels the same. The media failed the country then and has done so again. They learned nothing. Reading what you posted today made me miss Rep. Elijah Cummings so much! He spoke up for Hillary. Another thing I remember about 2016 is how few Democrats spoke up in her defense. Getting 50-75 emails or texts every day is not what inspires me to send my retirement money to the Democratic Party, Senate Democrats, House Democrats or Democratic governors! Hillary Clinton did though! You can still go on social media and find some ignoramus mention Hillary selling all our uranium. That can't be blamed on our public educational system. Thank you.
Thanks so much for this comment. Since the corporate media not only ignored my book but—with the exception of a couple of journalists—has never apologized for their malpractice in covering the election, the appreciation of readers like you is so meaningful to me!

I love it. “In Love With My Own Rectitude”!!
Since you adore Mr. Comey as much as I do, you might be interested in my Medium pieces on him. Here’s one: https://medium.com/engendered/the-talented-mr-comey-7ad0f3008364
Thanks for this great read.
Unfortunately Ms Clinton was media clickbait.
The media is still struggling with the difference between fair and balanced by simply agreeing all is fair in love and war.

That's so kind, Susan. I would like that very much. I'm on it!

It’s incredibly troubling that this utter calamity is again relevant. Thank you for breaking it down point by point so clearly.
