Thanks so much, David! I’m so glad you appreciate longer pieces. Sometimes I think my longer pieces put people off. BTW, I love what you’re doing about paid subscriptions, and once I hit 1K I’m going to follow suit. I just have to figure what organization I want to give my proceeds to.
Thank you for opening a room of your life to me, where I can meet myself. I too never saw my father naked. This reticence was partly generational but partly too a reflection of his extreme discomfort with the the body and its needs. I’m not sure my mother ever saw him naked either.

I'm sure with longer pieces we get higher impact from fewer readers.
I'm still trying to figure that out for myself. I have not tried a longer narrative yet, but want to.
